Exit-gate security

What it does

An RFID exit gate (UDM9R reader and buzzer) reads tags as goods pass and checks each against approved movements. If something leaves unbilled, the buzzer sounds and the event is logged, stopping walk-outs and shrinkage at the door.

Step by step

1. Install the gate reader at your exit and connect the gate agent.
2. Approved documents (invoices, packages, transfers) define what may leave.
3. As tagged goods pass, the gate checks each unit in real time.
4. Unbilled or unknown tags trigger the buzzer and a DENY event.
5. Review all gate events on the web Gate screen.

Tips and good practice

• Place the reader so every exit path passes through its field.
• Keep approved documents up to date so legitimate goods pass cleanly.
• Gate security is included on the Enterprise plan.
